Walk MS: Brookfield May 11, 2024

This Saturday morning started out cold and windy for an early May day in Brookfield, WI. But the weather didn’t stop the large crowd of volunteers and walkers of all ages who came out to the Walk MS: Brookfield event to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. The walkers came with a variety of reasons: some had family currently fighting the battle, some had lost loved-ones to this progressive disease, and some were warriors themselves helping spread the message and raise donations for research. Whatever their motivation for walking, their enthusiasm and joy throughout the event was palpable.

I volunteered to photograph the event in honor of several friends that have MS. They too are warriors and I’m so glad to know them and their never give up attitudes towards life.

Such a joy and a privilege it was to serve! I want to encourage you to find ways to get involved in our Southeast Wisconsin community and help wherever you can, in whatever way you can.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can. -John Wesley
