Safe Families for Children Wisconsin | Family Reunion Event
On August 18, I had the privilege of partnering with Safe Families for Children Wisconsin: Racine-Kenosha Metro Chapter to photograph their annual Family Reunion event raffle and activities as well as to host a portrait corner in order to create fully retouched portraits for each family that participated. It was such an honor to work on those images and know that each family would receive a free 5x7 image from the day as well as a gallery of retouched images they could use on social media or print out and frame of their family. I look forward to partnering again with them in the future.
From their website:
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) Wisconsin connects parents to a network of support through family-like relationships with volunteers.
Our volunteers are fully vetted and trained to provide support and resources to parents while they get back on their feet. What makes SFFC so unique is there are many roles in our Circle of Support so everyone can do something!
Do you know of anyone in your community that could use some help in order to stay safe from domestic violence, provide food for their children, find clothes for a job interview, keep a roof over their heads, have a listening ear or a night of babysitting when single-parenting becomes overwhelming?
There are many organizations out there that assist in these ways and they usually welcome volunteers to be their hands and feet to the many in need.
If we all help each other then everyone will have their own needs met also. Let’s choose today to live a life larger than just living for our own desires and pleasures.
“Whenever you are able, do good to people who need help.”
