“Fresh 48” In-Hospital Newborn Photography
Babies change so quickly from the moment of birth to even just a few days and weeks later. Fresh 48 photography captures that raw newness of life within the first couple days when they are still wrinkly, flakey, a little alien-looking sometimes (be honest you’ve sometimes thought it of other people’s babies). But oh how loved already!
An in-hospital newborn session with prairie girl co. | Photography preserves these memories of your new-baby experience in a relaxed and fun way. Unlike many photographers who herald being in and out in 10-20 minutes, I work at your pace. You just had a baby, there’s no need to feel pressured or rushed. Do you want to finish getting ready while I set up my lights? Perfect! Do you need to stop during the session to feed the baby? No problem. I am very laid back and want you to feel relaxed and pampered while I create beautiful memories your family will treasure forever.
On the day of the session I will plan to arrive when visiting hours begins at your hospital. Morning sessions work best, usually, but I am flexible depending on the circumstances. Once I arrive you should plan to spend around 1-2 hours with me from setup to ordering your images. Talk about instant gratification…you’ll get to see your images right after the session! I will retouch images prior to sending them off to the lab for professional printing, but you won’t have to wait to be assured that we captured what you were hoping for.
Fresh 48 sessions should be booked well in advance, once you find out your approximate due date, so that you can reserve a place on my calendar. Please reach out to me as soon as possible if you plan to be induced or have a C-section earlier than your due date.
